Jamie Porter has worked with some of the best in the business: Michel Roux senior at the three Michelin star Waterside Inn, Stephane Delourme at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and he helped set up the kitchen at the excellent Rafferty’s in St Merryn.

Jamie  began working at The Seafood Restaurant, Padstow as chef de partie. In the space of three year’s he mastered the cookery of some of Rick’s classic seafood dishes and progressed from chef de partie to junior sous chef.

At St Moritz Hotel Jamie put all of his experiences together and created his own approach for cooking and ingredients. Jamie was the first ever chef to win best dine and stay award at the trenchermans guide awards 2015.

More recently Jamie is now Head Chef at The Old Coastguard in Mousehole.
