Originally from Hat Yai, Thailand, Amy spent 16 years living in Singapore including 4 years training in Thai restaurants, and 2 months training in the art of fruit and vegetable carving before moving to Cornwall with her husband Pete and their two children in 2016.

Once settled into Cornish life, Amy began hosting lunches for businesses in Truro in early 2017.  Once news of Amy’s amazing cooking spread, Punk Thai was launched in mid-2017. Amy has now hosted a number of supper clubs in her own home, as well as catering for business and private functions and classes at Philleigh Way School.

The name Punk Thai is derived from the very nature of Amy’s unique method of cooking whereby she doesn’t just stick rigidly to the “original or genuine” Thai method of cooking. Amy isn’t afraid to deviate from traditional recipes using her vast experience of eastern and western cuisines to create exciting menus for all those she works with.
